After teaching English overseas, Johanna gained experience across the board of product development roles in print and digital educational publishing, including curriculum alignment, content management, editorial creation and customization for ELA and Social Studies, digital product development and management, requirements and specification writing, data analysis and reporting. She has worked with basal and supplemental publishers on several award-winning digital and print products. Most recently she served an integral role in the creation and development of iReady, a CODiE award-winning adaptive diagnostic and instruction series for the K-12 supplemental market from Curriculum Associates. Johanna holds an Ed.M. in International Education Development from Boston University and is a 2-time Hopwood Award winner from the University of Michigan where she received her BA in English and Political Science.
Chris has been applying technology to education for the last 15 years (13 years supporting the Lycea platform at Harcourt/Riverdeep, Pearson, Scholastic, Triumph, and Curriculum Associates). Millions of students have utilized various products that he has consulted on. Chris is a member of the Association of Educational Publishers and was a speaker on The Promise of XML at their annual conference. Chris holds 2 Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Math minor) and English (concentration in Technical Writing, minor in Anthropology).
A pioneer in the education technology industry for over 30 years, Michael brings a wealth of expertise to EvoText. Before joining the company, he owned his own consulting firm, Full Potential Associates, helping countless businesses of all sizes and markets to quickly build and execute focused strategies.
Michael spent over 15 years at Follett Corporation, where he held a variety of positions across the organization including Vice President of The Follett School and Library Group and Chief Operating Officer at Follett Digital Resources.
Michael served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Education Publishers for five years. He currently serves on the Higher Education Board for SIIA.

Tim is a 20+ year experienced creative, marketing and UI design professional. Products he has worked on have been AEP and SIIA CODIE finalist and award winners, including iReady. He holds a Bachelor’s in Printing Management and a Master’s in Electronic Publishing, both from the Rochester institute of Technology.
Maureen is the Chief Financial Officer of EvoText, responsible for financial reporting and analysis, cash forecasting and management of business operations. Working with EvoText since its inception, Maureen has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience. Prior to EvoText, she spent over 15 years as Principal for her own accounting consultancy firm, maintaining the financials for business clients in the banking, insurance, educational, software, and entrepreneurial sectors. She served for two years as Corporator for Belmont Savings Bank (BLMT : NASDAQ), transitioning to her current role as a member of the BSB advisory board.
Maureen brings a unique perspective to her role from an educational standpoint, having served for three years as Treasurer, and continuing her role as financial consultant to CNS, a community nursery school in her hometown of Lexington. She spent a semester studying abroad at SAIIE in Seville, Spain, and received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Carroll School of Management, Boston College.
Alan brings to his position more than 20 years of software development, software quality assurance and customer support experience in several industries including: Education Technology, Retail, Manufacturing, Financial and Insurance. A consummate perfectionist, Alan's passion for creating and sustaining the highest level of customer support makes him the perfect fit to lead our Customer Experience team.
Alan has held several senior engineering management positions in Quality Assurance and Customer Support, including leading the QA and Support teams for the CODiE award finalist, i-Ready.
Alan earned his B.S. in Mathematics and Minor in Computer Science from Penn State University.
Vice President of Marketing
Jill brings more than 15 years of strategic marketing experience to EvoText, including several years in educational publishing, educational non-profit work, and marketing consulting. She has a strong track-record for delivering cost-effective, successful marketing campaigns within the educational discipline, including several product launches. An award-winning copywriter adept at building brand recognition through strategic planning and implementation, Jill's work has been recognized by the AEP and SIIA. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Business and Technical Writing from the University of Delaware and a Master's degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education.
Laura has 14+ years experience in Quality Assurance and 10 years as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer. She has worked in the manufacturing, finance, insurance, and education industries and has a proven record in applying solid analytical skills to successfully test applications and resolve complex technical issues. Laura has developed and executed a variety of testing scripts including functional, regression, user acceptance, usability and smoke tests. She holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Syracuse University.
Susan is a certified project manager with over 15 years of experience in complex technical system implementations and creative project management. Her career has spanned the consulting, healthcare, finance, and education industries to result in a blend of strategic and tactical skills that she extends to the EvoText family.
Susan's technical career began in New York as a member of a rag tag IT group that created call center solutions from the ground up including all of the logistical and technical requirements. Most recently, Susan managed the development of custom e-learning portals for the corporate learning division of Harvard Business Publishing.
